Thank you all talented super brass players for making my son Elliott first concert the business ! He is 5 and playing the cornet in the youth orchestra , he was overwhelmed and super excited to hear such a wonderful performance at symphony hall today. A huge thank you to band member Craig for playing the part of jim ll fix it - by letting Elliott try his band uniform jacket on and hold his musical instrument and blow a few notes ! That was the best momment in elliotts life ( his words " when i grow up i want to be in this band as it is fantastic" , im going to work so hard practicing my cornet every day to audition one day " Magical momments shared with proud mom xx

Great opener to the Festival of Brass tonight although the snow and the M62 tried to put a stop to it. Garry Reed left his home at 3.15pm and didn't arrive at RNCM until 8.35pm. Eek.

Maria Molund This is what happens when it snows a bit in Manchester. You call it a blizzard as soon as some white come down from the sky! Haha! Which I were there for the concert, I miss some good brass band music. There isn't much in Helsinki :P
