MOOZAK

Das Record-Label Moozak veröffentlicht am 28. Oktober 2009 Katalognummer 2 und zelebriert diesen Umstand am selbigen Tag im Rahmen von Klub Moozak #28 mit einer speziellen Erscheinungsfeier im Wiener Fluc.

Als Priester der Erscheinungsfeier wird KK Null (Japan) mit einem speziellen Konzert in Aktion treten.

Der Leiter d...es Max-Brand-Archivs, Dr. Helmut Schwarzjirg, wir am Beginn des Abends ein wenig über die Entstehungsgeschichte sowie die Besonderheiten des Max Brand Synthesizers sprechen.

Moozak steht für experimentelle Musik mit Herz und Seele.
Ohne sich in Subgenre-Definitionen zu verfangen wird versucht die Grenzen des musikalischen Ausdrucks auszuloten.

Basis und Nährboden für das Label sind die regelmässigen Klub Moozak Veranstaltungen im Wiener Fluc (seit September 2007). Bei den bisherigen 26 Ausgaben wurden insgesamt 56 Live-Konzerte (mit 29 internationalen Gästen aus 16 Ländern) bei freiem Eintritt geboten. about KK NULL
Born in Tokyo, Japan, 1961. Electro-acoustic music composer/performer, and guitarist, singer, mastermind of avant-garde rock band ZENI GEVA.

In 1981 studied at Butoh dancer, Min Tanaka's "Mai-Juku" workshop and started performing guitar improvisation in Tokyo, and collaborated with MERZBOW for two years, and joined the band YBO2 (with Tatsuya Yoshida, drummer of RUINS) and started the improvized rock trio ABSOLUT NULL PUNKT (with Seijiro Murayama, the original drummer of Keiji Haino's FUSHITSUSHA).

In the 90's ZENI GEVA released five albums produced by STEVE ALBINI. Also recorded twice for JOHN PEEL SESSION on BBC, and immensely toured throughout Europe, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, playing hundreds of concerts.

All the while, KK NULL has been working on his solo career and collaborated with other musical innovators from all over the globe such as CHRIS WATSON (UK), Z'EV (USA/UK), JOHN ZORN (USA), FRED FRITH (USA/UK), MATMOS (USA), KEIJI HAINO (Japan), JON ROSE (Australia), PHILIP SAMARTZIS (Australia), ALEXEI BORISOV (Russia), ZBIGNIEW KARKOWSKI (Poland) to name a few, and has been invited to perform at prestigious international festivals. Especially, KK NULL has been invited by GRM (Le Groupe de Recherches Musicales) to perform at Presences Électronique in Paris, France successively 2008 and 2009.

In recent years KK NULL has concentrated his efforts on his solo & collaborative recordings, exploring the outer territories of electronica, creating intense clashing wave of noise, structured electro-acoustic ambience, broken down rhythmics, scattered pitch sculptures, droning isolationist material, which could be described "cosmic noise maximal/minimalism".

TECTONICS PRESSTEXT
Nach dem bisherigen Stand der Forschung scheint der Mechanismus der Plattentektonik nur auf der Erde wirksam zu sein. Auch wenn die Realität des Kontinentaldrifts unter Geowissenscha...ftlern kaum noch bezweifelt wird, so sind die wahren Kräfte im Erdinnern, die die Bewegungen der Platten auslösen und vorantreiben, auch heute noch das Forschungsziel der unerschrockenen Tectonics-Klangforscher.

Tectonics alias Clemens Hausch, Benedikt Guschlbauer und Gerald Krist widmet sich großräumigen Deformationen der äußeren Gesteinsmassen, wie Faltengebirgen und Tiefseerinnen und führt zu sekundären Phänomenen, wie Vulkanismus oder Erdbeben. Als Veranstalter zeichnen die 3 verantwortlich für die monatliche KLUB MOOZAK Veranstaltung im Wiener Fluc (seit September 2007) die sich verschiedensten Spielarten der experimentellen Musik widmet sowie die Gründung des MOOZAK Labels im Herbst 2008.

João Castro Pinto presents: “MASTI - Prompting Densities, Textures and Non-Absence”

J. Castro Pinto presents a live electronics sound performance based on the intent of creating a kind of a ritualistic ascetic soundvoyage towards what the zen schools determine as: the state of no-mind. Masti is the sufi term utilized do define enhanced expanded / ecstatic states of consciousness induced by the mystical experience of merging with the Divinity through the sacred power of the Sound and Music.

João Castro Pinto will operate with different densities, textures, field recordings, rhythms and complex d.s.p. electroacoustic transformations, in an alchemical purpose of reaching a dense and profound soundwall, which eventually lead to a collective-non-absence interior consciousness.

The performance’s sound plot will be mixed live and manipulated on a laptop (using max-msp custom built software), through a small midi ctrl and a wacom tablet.

Ludwig Vanessa is the dj alter ego of Portuguese experimental musician/sound artist João Castro Pinto (a.k.a. agnosia), his dj sets defy the conventional patterns of “contemporary” dance clubs and bars, which are confined to one or a few exclusive genres of music (for example: dance music clubs, rock music clubs or jazz, etc…). What Ludwig Vanessa presents is an all inclusive mix of contradictory and, apparently, odd and non friendly musical styles, creating and eclectic and indefinable musical adventure / set.
