Hi there,
I am with the Niagara College Post Graduate Event Management Program at NOTL. We are holding a fundraising multicultural event on Feb 20, 2010 and were wondering if you could post a link to our Facebook site on your International Club Page. Information about the event is below. Site is 'Taste the World':
...http://www.facebook.com/pages/Taste-the- World-International-Food-Beverage-and-Cu ltural-Experience/170851489891?v=photos# /pages/Taste-the-World-International-Foo d-Beverage-and-Cultural-Experience/17085 1489891?v=wall
We were also wondering if you could provide some insight as to places to obtain cultural entertainment for the event.
Taste the World’ is a Multi Cultural night time event featuring food and beverage, cultural dance and entertainment from 6 different countries around the world. Countries featured were determined by marketing surveys completed by our target market and include: Italy, China, Mexico, India, Australia, and Greece. Ultimately this event is a ‘dine around’ bistro experience with culinary tastings and specialty drinks from each country represented at the event, as well as various cultural entertainments at scheduled times throughout the evening.
Each country will display culinary tastings, specialty drinks (i.e.: the mojito for Mexico), cultural dress, and vendor wares. Tourism and travel information relating to each country will identify landmarks, climate, favourite cultural activities, and values/beliefs/traditions within each country represented at this event. The evening’s programming will utilize the bistro area surrounding each country for culinary demonstrations and a stage for a variety of larger cultural entertainments throughout the night.
Thx much, looking forward to hearing from you!
